getting there:
Buses to and from central Wellington: the Airport Flyer runs every 15 minutes, and Valley Flyer route 83 less frequently. The Dowse is a 2 minute walk from the Westfield Queensgate shopping centre bus stop. Other services within the Hutt Valley are also available, and valley travellers – up to four of you can use the $15 Group Daytripper: get a culture fix for the price of a latte… Remember, Senior Citizens travel FREE.
Trains to and from central Wellington, and the Wairarapa, run regularly. Melling and Waterloo stations in Lower Hutt are both walking distance from The Dowse.

By car it will take you 20-30 minutes from central Wellington, and 15-20 minutes from Upper Hutt via State Highway 2. A convenient 70c/hr pay & display parking area is available right outside our building. There is disabled access to all public areas in The Dowse.
