Founded in October of 1985, GALLERY ・ MA is a gallery specializing in architecture and design, and is managed by the sanitary manufacturer TOTO LTD. It takes its name from the unique Japanese concept of MA, which symbolically links humans, time, and space.
GALLERY ・ MA was established with the goal of disseminating quality information through independently planned exhibitions and lectures on architecture and design. Its exhibitions supply a visual presentation of the ideas and philosophies of the artists, while its lectures enable people to have contact with the artists and gain a deeper understanding of the exhibitions. The gallery maintains a broad perspective by inviting architects and designers active both in Japan and internationally so as to supply information from abroad.
