The Jatiyo Sangshad Bhaban has been hailed as a masterpiece and one of the “Seven wonders of the architecture world”. Inaugurated in 1982, the US$32 million legislative complex designed by Louis Kahn houses all the parliamentary activities of Bangladesh.
The magnificent use of natural daylight in the interior of the Jatiyo Sangshad Bhaban evokes a sense of awe and monumentality… “It enters the corridors like enlightenment and makes the National Assembly’s chambers glow.”
